So long, day care

Today was Rowan's last day at day care. Actually, yesterday was his last day staying all day. He and I went this afternoon to say goodbye to his teachers and classmates. I got to hang out for about an hour with the babies. It was pretty fun! Could it be that I have missed my calling as a pre-school teacher? I'm betting that it's a much different experience when you stay longer than an hour. :-)

Instead of going to day care (you have to pay for a full week whether you use it everyday or not), Rowan will be staying with my friend, Wendy. She has a two-year-old who will also be there with her. Wendy's five-year-old will also keep them company when she's out of kindergarten. It's really a good set up for all of us.

My mom and dad will be here this weekend. They are looking for a place up here so they can be closer to Rowan. They said they did not want to be "holiday" grandparents. It will be nice to have them close by.

Wow, your parents are moving from Florida! I can defiantly see the allure since your their only child to be close to you and Rowan. Hope they find a great place and I am sure they will love watching him grow.
