- Likes: Firetrucks and other vehicles with sirens and lights (He yells, "honk, honk!" when he sees one.); Fig Newtons (aka New-toos, aka New-News); music, singing, and dancing; reading; doing things by himself; taking off his shoes and socks in the car and at school;
- Dislikes: Getting out the bathtub and drying off (Almost every night there are tears.); having his face washed (Yes, I do use a warm washcloth.); having his food cut/broken into pieces if he's already seen that it was a larger piece - this is especially true with Fig Newtons, waffles, and bananas - but it's okay if he does it on his own. So complicated!
- New Vocab: He's starting to put 2 and 3 words together in semi-sentence form. He's very good at repeating short sentences. Two of his favorites are "I'll get you!" and "I did it!". He also likes to name objects and their owner - e.g., Mommy's pillow, Daddy's truck, baby's shirt. Other new words: two (said when he has or sees two of something!); shower; helicopter (kellicot-ter); pillow; and a bunch of others I'm sure I am forgetting.
- New Skills: He's still working on jumping, but he's getting a lot better. The potty is still a hit and a miss; some days he's more into it than others. His singing is getting so good! The tune has always been recognizable, but now he's starting to sing more of the words. I tell you, the A,B,C song never sounded so sweet.
